Bright Bears HQ
In May, we were lucky enough to move into a beautiful new workspace at the Workstation in Sheffield. Not only is the environment itself an absolute pleasure to come into every day (there are a lot of fairy lights) but the people in it are incredible too. We share the workspace with Bright Futures Consultancy who offer emotional support and advocacy to parents of children with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). While on paper, BearHugs and Bright Futures may not sound like they have a great deal in common, both enterprises share very similar values and aim to make a positive impact.
Sharing a workspace with Bright Futures Consultancy Ltd, we've got to know how tough life can be for parents of young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN). We love Ruth Bright (Bright Futures' Founder and Managing Director) and are constantly inspired by her vision to provide emotional as well as practical support to people tackling the, at times very challenging, SEN and EHCP system. If you know anyone in this situation who might be in need of a hug, be sure to follow Bright Futures on Facebook as we will be sending a BearHug to a parent of a child with SEN on a monthly basis.
