Inspired by: Pippa Stacey
I’ve been inspired by Pippa Stacey for a long time. In fact, on my old site, when I began interviewing people who were inspirational to me, Pippa was my very first choice!
Fortunately for all of us, Pippa is consistently achieving incredible things, so much so that I wanted to highlight her work again.
For those of you who don’t know, Pippa is the mastermind behind Spoonie Survival Kits. Spoonie Survival Kits offers exactly what it says on the tin - lovely kits aimed at helping Spoonies through those particularly tough days. While they offer different kits for different occasions, part of the fun is that they keep the content of the kits a surprise!
Not only that, but 50% of the total sales money is donated to charity. Spoonie Survival Kits have supported various charities, and are currently raising money for Crohn’s and Colitis UK. To see the full list of charities and the incredible work SSK has carried out to date, check out the SSK Facebook page here.
Amazingly, it’s not just Spoonie Survival Kits that Pippa does that leaves me in awe! Pippa is also a brilliant, funny and insightful writer. She has written posts for a variety of publications, but something she specialises in is offering wonderful theatre reviews, particularly with a view to the accessibility and inclusivity of the theatre experience.
Pippa’s incredible work was recently recognised by the Olivier Awards as an Olivier Awards Be Inspired Champion! In fact, none other than Catherine Tate, host of this year’s Olivier Awards, even spoke about Pippa on This Morning! To read more about what this all means, and what this means to Pippa, check out her blog post here.
I could go on and on about Pippa and everything she does! Instead, I’ll just point you again in the direction of her site Life of Pippa, where you can find out all about everything she has going on.
Congratulations Pippa on such a well-deserved award! I’m so proud to consider Pippa a friend and can’t wait to see everything she is going to accomplish in the future!
