Team BearHugs Get Together 2019
We are delighted to be able to say that, thanks to the hard work of our wonderful Hug Supplies Manager, Sian, BearHugs is now totally palm oil free.
We know this is something that matters to a lot of BearHugs customers and we are really pleased to be able to state that not a single one of our BearHugs products contains palm oil.
Why I loved my Solo Life and Business Planning Retreat
Last month something very exciting happened! You may know if you’ve been following BearHugs for a while that our team is spread far and wide across the country with some of our lovely bears working remotely from home. On 7th August, we got to meet for some face to face time and it was really very special.
The Wonderful Steph, the Great North Run and Raising Funds for Bluebell Wood
A couple of weeks ago, I took myself away for a couple of days on a solo life and business planning retreat and I’m totally convinced it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
Chief Sender of Hugs receives University of Sheffield Distinguished Alumni Award
The wonderful Steph, Sender of Hugs, is taking place in the Great North Run next month! Steph has decided to use the opportunity to help raise funds for one of our lovely charity partners, Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.
Team BearHugs: Meet Steph
On 16th July, I had the incredible honour of being given The University of Sheffield Robert Boucher Distinguished Alumni Award. Seven years after graduating as a Speech and Language Therapist, I was asked to speak at one of this year’s graduation ceremonies about my journey to become Chief Sender of Hugs.
Audio Accessibility on the BearHugs Blog
We have some exciting news - we have a new bear! We are so happy to have Steph join the BearHugs family. Steph will be helping to pack your special gifts and will be responding to your emails and calls. We love her already and know you're going to too.
We know that reading big blocks of text isn’t for everyone so to improve our accessibility and also just to make life easier for people prefer audio, we are going to be making recordings of our blog posts. All blog post audio recordings will now be available via a souncloud link at the top of each post.
"How I Came To Be Chief Sender of Hugs" Talk at The Indie Business Fair
A couple of weeks ago my lovely BearHugs-mobile ‘Little Blue’ was stolen after our house was burgled. While it was very annoying and has created a lot of admin, noone was hurt, I have insurance and in a few months time probably won’t think about it at all.
What it has brought to light though is some seriously incredible loveliness that I definitely won’t forget. If you need a little reminder that people are inherently good, here’s a little list of kindnesses I’ve felt beyond lucky for in the last few weeks...

Teddy's Happy Pawtrait!
Looking for the perfect gift for a book lover? Well, here at BearHugs we love nothing more than curling up with a good book, and one of our favourite things that we stock are our range of brilliant, lovely and inspiring books.
Those of you who are signed up for the BearHugs newsletter will know that we love nothing more than hearing back from you all about how you are doing and what you’ve been up to.
One of the most lovely replies we received was from Chloe, who in her reply to the BearHugs newsletter, told me all about her passion for art and how much she loves that it can bring happiness to people.
After chatting a little, Chloe, the brains and talent behind Happy Pawtraits, very kindly offered to draw Teddy, our resident Little Office Helper.
