A little while back I was invited to the very fancy Sony Music offices in London to be interviewed by Country Pop sisters Ward Thomas. Catherine and Lizzy were so lovely, warm and welcoming. It was great to chat with them about all things mindfulness, social media and BearHugsRead More
I was in charge of table decor, games and gifts (this is a little piece of organisational heaven for me!). I made sure every person invited would receive a Cub Hug (a mini BearHug), with a small gift to remind them of the afternoon tea we were attending. I chose a mini chocolate and honeycomb bar by the wonderful Dandelion Cocoa (I had tasted their chocolate before and knew I was on to a winner!), accompanied by a personal message showing my thanks to everyone that came and made it so special for my sister-in-law. It made the loveliest gesture of appreciation, especially when many family members had travelled from afar.Read More

I love the The Happy Newspaper and to be featured in the Everyday Heroes section has blown me away. I am so grateful to Laura for the nomination and for the incredibly kind words. Building an inclusive supportive working environment is at the top of my priority list so this means an awful lot. I am the luckiest to have such a wonderful team. It’s the best getting to work with each of the incredible women who make BearHugs what it is.Read More
A couple of weeks ago my lovely BearHugs-mobile ‘Little Blue’ was stolen after our house was burgled. While it was very annoying and has created a lot of admin, noone was hurt, I have insurance and in a few months time probably won’t think about it at all.
What it has brought to light though is some seriously incredible loveliness that I definitely won’t forget. If you need a little reminder that people are inherently good, here’s a little list of kindnesses I’ve felt beyond lucky for in the last few weeks...
Have you ever had one of those ‘pinch yourself’ moments, where you ask ‘Did that really happen?’ - well Faye (our lovely Chief Sender of Hugs) and I experienced just that, after attending a meeting at 10 Downing Street last November!Read More

Zarina of Page to Stage Reviews, a blog about books, travel, arts and culture, has written a blog post on her highlights from the 2017 Bloggers Festival - and very kindly included BearHugs in her list.
The bloggers festival was put together by Scarlett London, and Zarina wrote about a few of the favourite brands she came across on the day.
Zarina had some very kind words to say about BearHugs. After explaining that one of the best things about these kind of events is discovering brands she might otherwise have never come across and that “one of my favourite this time around was BearHugs.”Read More
As hot-drink fanatics, we’ve been using the phrase a hug in a mug as long as we can remember. Sometimes it’s the only way to describe the joy of a nice warm drink just when you need it. If you’re tired, cold, or just taking a moment to yourself, holding a nice warm cuppa is as good as it gets.Read More
As you may know if you've read our story, our Chief Sender of Hugs, Faye, launched BearHugs after falling ill in her early twenties. Originally diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome /M.E. and later with Lyme disease, Faye found that although able to work in some capacity, she wasn't able to find employment that was a good fit due to the fluctuating nature of her condition.
Faye is now incredibly passionate about:
- offering flexible, accessible, remote opportunities for people who find themselves in similar shoes
- encouraging other employers to consider accessibility for people with chronic, often "invisible", health conditions
