Who is it for? How many people will be attending?

We booked Faye to speak at our Women In Business event in March 2019 after hearing she was an excellent and inspiring speaker. Faye certainly didn’t disappoint and delivered an outstanding presentation which left our audience buzzing with questions afterwards. Faye’s moving and refreshing story was a huge hit with attendees of our event and we’d love to welcome Faye back to speak at another event in the future.

We were lucky enough to have Faye develop a number of workshops on Entrepreneurial Skills as part of an Employability Conference for our Year 10 girls. Her sessions were well thought out and her use of visuals and props was excellent. Her story struck a real chord with the pupils and they were engaged and interested throughout the workshops.

Her content was perfect for that age group: the students really understood Faye’s journey and where she was hoping to take her business. She highlighted the skills that she had to employ when starting out, the attributes she needs now and those she hopes to develop as her business grows.

We loved having Faye as part of our very high powered team of speakers for the conference. She was a valuable addition to the group and, most importantly, the girls loved her sessions. We will certainly work with her again in the future.

Since starting Bear Hugs and winning The Trust’s national Enterprise of the Year award (and being interviewed by Tom and Giovanna Fletcher!), Faye has gone on to share her inspirational story with other young people who are thinking about starting their own business with the support of The Trust’ Enterprise programme and young people on our Mosaic programme in schools in Yorkshire.

Faye has also given talks to many Trust supporters across the UK including our Gala Dinner in Barnsley which raised vital funds for our work and Portakabin employees in York for example who will go on themselves to volunteer on our programmes.

We are proud to have Faye as one of our Trust Young Ambassadors and I know that she will go on to make a real difference to the lives of many people through her local network of women entrepreneurs and of course through the many ‘hugs’ she shares every day.

Faye kindly agreed to talk at our Indie Business Fair here at the Workstation in May 2019, an event aimed at promoting the great independent businesses in Sheffield and the Sheffield City Region. Faye has a background with the Workstation having been based here when Bear Hugs started their journey and prior to that attending the Prince’s Trust workshops which we host. Fayes talk sold out at 100 attendees and was both informative and thought provoking providing all delegates with a positive message to take back to their businesses. I myself have known Faye for many years and know her to be a positive proactive role model and would recommend her as a speaker for any size of event.

A quick thank you to Faye for giving up her time today to speak to Y10 students from Springwell Community College who were attending a University of Sheffield achievement awards motivational event in Sheffield. Your story was inspirational and really struck a chord with our students and staff!
— Mark Walker, Springwell Community College
We invited Faye to be a guest speaker at an international conference in Sheffield to inspire international women to become entrepreneurs. Faye’s approach could not be more suitable for the occasion: her story is all about overcoming life adversities with creativity, courage and love. I cannot think of a better way to inspire others not only in entrepreneurship but in life too.
